Day 39 James 1 (40 Prayers for my Husband)
40 days of Prayers for my Husband . Biblical MarriageThe book of James is one of my absolute favorite books of the Bible. I am a person who is all about efficiency. So, I love when God puts everything in a neat little package. The letter written by James is one of those nice, short, and to the point books of the Bible. So, I love praying it over myself. Today, I want to pray chapter one over my husband.
Abba Father,
May Jeremy always consider it pure joy whenever he faces trials of many kinds, because he knows that the testing of his faith produces perseverance. Give him strength to let perseverance finish its work so that he may be mature and be complete, not lacking anything. Give him wisdom, help him to ask you, God, who gives generously to all without finding fault. But when he ask, help him believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Don’t let him be that person, because then he should not expect to receive anything from You, Yehovah. May he never be double-minded and unstable in all that he does.
Keep him humble, and if you entrust him with riches let him remember that these things will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that You, Yehovah has promised to those who love You. When Jeremy is tempted, let him not say, “God is tempting me.” For You cannot be tempted by evil, nor do You tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Keep Jeremy from being deceived. Remind him that every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the You, Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. You chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firs fruits of all Your created.
Teach Jeremy to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that You desire. Therefore, help him get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted within, which can save him.
Help him to not merely listen to the word, and so deceive himself. Help him do what it says. Remind him that anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
And those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. May he always remember religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
May Your Will be Done in Yeshua’s Name,
Amen

Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
