As I said in the introduction, this challenge is an opportunity to spend the next thirty days being intentional about praying for a child or children.
I hope you had time to decide and write down the name or names of the child/children you will be praying for the next 30 days. If not take the time and do that now. Also, I would encourage you to use a prayer book/journal and write out your prayer each day. This just really allows to really think and ponder on the words, and gives you something to look back at as God answers these prayers. Reuse the prayers and add new notes as you continue to pray for the children in your life.
No matter how you choose to use this prayer guide, the most important thing is to be intentional. Don’t just make it a habit or chore that you check off your to do list each day. Make time and take time to really pray for the child/children, and ask God to show you ways to bless them.
Each day I will post the topic and scripture, and write out my prayer for you to use as a guide, as you go to the Father in prayer. No matter whom God lays on your heart to pray for that is exactly who you should be praying for.
May Yehovah God bless us as we seek to bless Him and His children.

Day 18 – Pray that God would give your children wisdom and direction in making decisions.
Today, As I prepared to pray for my children, I read each of these scriptures in context. As I read James chapter one, I cried and it became my prayer for myself. It has been crazy how God is using this prayer challenge to work in the lives of my children and my husband and I. Things are coming to light, and He is truly doing a work in me.
So, I took bits and pieces out of James 1 and made them today’s prayer for my children.
Father,
Your Word says “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
So, I stand here asking for wisdom for myself and wisdom for my children. Teach my children to come to you always to seek wisdom, and when they come asking help them believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from You, Yehovah.
Do not let my children be double-minded and unstable in any of their ways.
Give my children ears to hear and let them be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
because human anger does not produce the righteousness that You, God desire.
Help my children get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and help them humbly accept the word planted in them, which can save them.
Make them not merely listeners of the Word, deceived in their own minds. But fill them with the desire to Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror
and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
Religion that You, God our Father, accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Make this be true of all my children, and myself.
