Homeschooling Torah (my official review of the best curriculum on the market)Home school . Torah/Bible
I have been homeschooling for 20 years, and I have used lots of different curricula. I prefer fun, easy, simple, and BIBLE school materials.
Several years ago, I decided to look into using the Bible as our only textbook. In my search, I came across a company called Foundations Press. Foundations Press is the mother company to Homeschooling Torah. But at the time, it was a very small company. I bought a book, and I loved the simplicity of the lessons and the Bible usage in each lesson. So, being me, I emailed the seller. (I hadn’t heard of Facebook, yet.)
Foundations Press was looking for test families and asked me to be one. Since I had so many young children, they thought we would be a great family. I thought, free curriculum, “uh, yes, please.”
I began testing history, grammar, and some math lessons. It was so fun. The lessons were fun for my students, but honestly, I loved using them too.
As time, went on, Anne Elliott, the writer of the curriculum took all the subjects she had created and put them all in one place called Homeschooling Torah.
I like to tell people I was her first Homeschooling Torah user.
I use Homeschooling Torah in my kid’s schooling every single day. We love it. My favorite subjects are Torah (Bible), Copywork, History, and Grammar. I also love science and music. I don’t love math, but that isn’t because of Homeschooling Torah, that is because I don’t like to teach math. LOL
If you join Homeschooling Torah you not only get a membership to a great curriculum website with more materials then you could ever use, but you also get great support and encouragement. One of the best parts of Homeschooling Torah is the private members only facebook page. Moms and dads can type in questions and get answers from other HT users. You can ask for prayer and encourage others with your successes.
Homeschooling Torah is more than a curriculum it is a family.
(Disclaimer: It is true that Anne Elliott and I are now the best of friends, and we along with our husbands host a weekly fellowship in my home. But we didn’t live in the same state or know each other intimately when Homeschooling Torah was begun. It was through HT that Yehovah God brought us together.)
My honest and heartfelt review of Homeschooling Torah:
Homeschooling Torah, in my opinion, is the best Bible solid curriculum on the market. A student doesn’t just learn academics, but also the Ways of their Creator. They learn how He created the World and all that is in it. They learn of His amazing plan for His people, and they learn of their Redeemer, His Son, Yeshua. They learn to read, write, and multiply, and divide, and why it even matters. They learn to love learning, and to keep on growing every day. Students that use Homeschooling Torah are prepared for more than college, they are prepared for Kingdom Living.
Lastly, and this is the best part of Homeschooling Torah, parents that use HT with their children also learn all these things, right along with their students. HT is designed for families to learn together. Together time learning is by far my favorite part of HT. You will learn Bible, Hebrew, Poetry, History (like you never knew it), and more. When your student tells you the exciting things they are learning in their lessons, you will want to learn right along with them.
Homeschooling Torah the best Bible Solid curriculum for every subject, that is my opinion, and I am sticking with it.
