The Fruit of the Spirit Prayer Challenge Peace (Day 4)
Prayer Challenge . Praying the Fruit of the SpiritYesterday we reviewed what joy is in our third day of our prayer challenge. As a reminder, you can join our prayer group on Facebook.
Praying With Intention Facebook Group
I am so excited to be doing this prayer challenge. If you ever wonder how I prepare for these prayer challenges, let me share with you. I pray about what God wants me to be intentional in prayer about, and then when He reveals something. I research it and consider how to best go to Him in prayer. Then once I get an idea, I actually do a Bible Study/Prayer Time with my children each day. I take the thoughts and ideas from that time with my children and turn it into a blog post, and prayer.
Then once I get them written, I invite the Facebook group to pray through them intentionally day by day. So, I actually pray each prayer twice, once when I write them, and once when I go through them with the group. It has been a huge blessing to me to see Yehovah God work in my life and answer so many prayers.
Today, my children and I read Ephesians 2, and John 14 and 16. I hope you will take time to read and ponder these chapters too.
We then took time to pray for God to fill us with His Peace. We discussed how Peace comes through Yeshua, our Messiah, and is a gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. Some passages on peace that really spoke to us are:
Messiah gives us Peace John 16:33
We an have peace of mind Isaiah 26:3, Philippians 4:6-7
We can bring peace to others Matthew 5:9, Romans 12:18, Colossians 3:15, 2 Corinthians 13:11
Peace follows Joy because it is that deep rooted Joy that comes from knowing Yeshua and His salvation that give us true peace. We are called to be peace, bring peace, and hold peace. Yeshua left His peace with His disciples to pass on to all who would come after Him. When we pursue Christ, we pursue peace.
There was a time in my life were I worried all the time if I was enough. I was always so concerned with being who God created me to be, and I was certain I was failing. I would wake everyday almost paralyzed, because I was so overwhelmed with the task of being a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, etc. I would always feel like I was letting God down. In that place, I cried out for God to fill me with His peace, and assurance that He was enough.
Not long after that God began showing me in His Word that I could rest in Him, and know that He didn’t need me to complete His good work, but that He chose me to be apart of it, and His Kingdom. He could do all things without me, but He wants to us me, and allow me to be a part of His family. One way, we feel like we belong is when we have a purpose in something. God doesn’t give us tasks, rules, or assignments to overwhelm us, but to give us purpose and a place in His Kingdom.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, or insecure today, and that is robbing you of His peace, Shalom. Then stop right now and just ask Him to fill you with His Peace, and to surround you with His presence. You do NOT have to earn His favor, He gives it freely, because He loves you.
Prayer:
Abba Father,
We thank you for Your Son Yeshua. Who came to earth to show us the Way to true Peace. We thank you for your Spirit that brings not only comfort, but peace that truly passes all understanding. We ask that you would use us to spread Your peace to others. Make us the peacemakers. When people come into our homes, our workplaces, our lives may Your undeniable peace surround them.
May Your Will be done in us today, and always.
In Yeshua’s Name,
Amen

Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
