Day 22 Overcome Loss, Trauma, and Hardship(30 Day Prayer Challenge for the Children)
Biblical Living . Parenting . Prayer Challenge . Prayer Challenge for the ChildrenAs I said in the introduction, this challenge is an opportunity to spend the next thirty days being intentional about praying for a child or children.
I hope you had time to decide and write down the name or names of the child/children you will be praying for the next 30 days. If not take the time and do that now. Also, I would encourage you to use a prayer book/journal and write out your prayer each day. This just really allows to really think and ponder on the words, and gives you something to look back at as God answers these prayers. Reuse the prayers and add new notes as you continue to pray for the children in your life.
No matter how you choose to use this prayer guide, the most important thing is to be intentional. Don’t just make it a habit or chore that you check off your to do list each day. Make time and take time to really pray for the child/children, and ask God to show you ways to bless them.
Each day I will post the topic and scripture, and write out my prayer for you to use as a guide, as you go to the Father in prayer. No matter whom God lays on your heart to pray for that is exactly who you should be praying for.
May Yehovah God bless us as we seek to bless Him and His children.
Amen
Day 22 – Pray that your children will overcome lose, trauma, and hardship through perseverance.
James 1:2-4; John 16:33; Genesis 50:20
In our home, we have children who have experienced trauma and loss. We have been so privileged to do foster and respite care for children for most of our marriage. We also have been so blessed to adopt some of our children. I am grateful that as a child of God, I know that He truly uses all things for His Glory and His Kingdom. I pray that no matter what trials my children must endure in life that they will be used to grow their relationship with God and His people. Today, I decided to use Romans 5 for my prayer.
Father,
My hope and prayer is that all my children will place their faith in You alone, and that they will all have a secure relationship with You as their Lord and savior. I pray that that will give them a firm foundation to stand on when tough times come their way. May they place all their hope in the glory of God. May they learn to glorify Your Name in their sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because Your love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Father, give my children a real understanding of the price Messiah paid in His death and suffering for our sake. He did the unimaginable dying for the undeserving. You demonstrates Your own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Messiah died for us.
” Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 1 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Yeshua Messiah, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
May my children know and cling to these truths in their darkest hours.
Amen

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
