Day 17 Ephesians 5 (40 Prayers for my Husband)
40 days of Prayers for my Husband . Biblical MarriageEphesians, the Marriage book.
If you go to Bible college, or get training through the church to be a marriage counselor, then you will most likely be trained in the book of Ephesians. This is because the in the book of Ephesians, Paul, teaches how we should live together in love with one another. That makes praying the book of Ephesians over our marriage a very practical and easy prayer. Today, specifically, chapter 5 get’s into marriage. So, that is my prayer today.
Abba Father,
Make us imitators of You, O, God, as dearly loved children that live a life of love, just as Messiah loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to You, Abba. Let us not even hint at sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or greed, because these are improper for Your Holy people. Guard our mouths from obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather let us always be filled with thanksgiving. For we are certain that no immoral, impure or greedy person–(such a man is an idolater)–has any inheritance in Your Kingdom. Let no one deceive us with empty words, for because of such things Your wrath comes on those who are disobedient. For we were once darkness, but now we are light because of Yeshua. Help us live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth),and help us seek out what pleases You, our Lord. Give us a deep desire to have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather to expose them, for it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.”
Help us be very careful, t0 live–not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Keep us from foolishness, and make known to us Your Will. Let us not get drunk, which leads to debauchery. Instead, let us be filled with the Your Spirit. Teach us to speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in our heart to the You, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May we always choose to submit to one another out of reverence for Messiah.
Help me be a wife that chooses to submit to my husband as I place my trust and hope in You, Yehovah. You gave me a husband to be the head of the our home. Help Jeremy to lead like Messiah is the head of the church, His body, of which He is our Savior. Make me like a humble body of believers that submits to Messiah, submitting to Jeremy in all thing. Help Jeremy love me, just as Messiah loved the body of believers and gave himself up for them, to make them holy, cleansing them by the washing with water through the word, and to present them to Himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, help Jeremy to love me as his own body. Remind him that when he loves his wife, he loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church–for we are members of his body.”For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” Teach each one of us to love and respect each other like Messiah.
May it Be Done in Yeshua’s Name. Amen

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
