Day 20 Servants hearts and Hard Worker(30 Day Prayer Challenge for the Children)

Biblical Living . Parenting . Prayer Challenge for the Children . Prayer Challenges
As I said in the introduction, this challenge is an opportunity to spend the next thirty days being intentional about praying for a child or children.
I hope you had time to decide and write down the name or names of the child/children you will be praying for the next 30 days.  If not take the time and do that now.  Also, I would encourage you to use a prayer book/journal and write out your prayer each day.  This just really allows to really think and ponder on the words, and gives you something to look back at as God answers these prayers.  Reuse the prayers and add new notes as you continue to pray for the children in your life.
No matter how you choose to use this prayer guide, the most important thing is to be intentional.  Don’t just make it a habit or chore that you check off your to do list each day.  Make time and take time to really pray for the child/children, and ask God to show you ways to bless them.
Each day I will post the topic and scripture, and write out my prayer for you to use as a guide, as you go to the Father in prayer.  No matter whom God lays on your heart to pray for that is exactly who you should be praying for.
May Yehovah God bless us as we seek to bless Him and His children.
Amen

Day 20 – Pray that your children will have a servant’s heart and be hard workers.

Ephesians 6:7; Colossians 3:23; Philippians 2:13-15

If you know my family, and my husband’s family you know that a servants heart and hard work is our identity.  We come from homes where loving others looks like service, and if there is a job to do it, then let’s get it done.  We are so blessed and grateful to our parents and grandparents for raising us this a service mindset, and a love to work.  We truly believe God gave us six days a week to do good work.

So, today’s prayer is really important to us.  If you don’t come from a background like ours or your struggling to create a home where everyone feels valued and a part of the family, them try creating a family rule book that helps everyone understand the value of being a member of the family team, and having a job to do.

Here is a link to my family rule book series.

Family Rule Book Series

Philippians 2 is one of my favorite passages to pray over myself and others.  So, for our children I will pray it.

Father,

I am so encouraged by the life and death of my Messiah Yeshua, and the example of love that brings me comfort.  Through Your Spirit I find grace, compassion, and tender mercy that is so underserved.  Give me a heart that is full of tender mercy and compassion especially towards my children. Make me a blessing together with Jeremy (my husband) and help us be in wholehearted agreement with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose especially in regards to raising our children to be Kingdom Builders.
Help Jeremy and I set an example of selflessness and humility. Let us teach our children to be humble, thinking of others as better than themselves. Don’t allow us to look out only for our own interests, but take an interest in others, especially our immediate family members.
Give us the same attitude that our Messiah Yeshua had.
Though He was God,
He did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
Instead, He gave up his divine privileges;
He took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When He appeared in human form,
He humbled Himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Father, God  You elevated Him to the place of highest honor
and gave Him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue declare that Yeshua is Messiah and Lord,
to Your glory God the Father.
Father, direct us always back to Your Word and its life giving instructions.  Help us to work hard to show the results of our salvation, obeying You with deep reverence and fear. For You are working in us, giving us the desire and the power to do what pleases You.
Help us model Your character and glorify Your Name by doing everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize us, and so our children can learn to do the same. May we live clean, innocent lives as Your children , shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.  Help us to teach our children to hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Messiah’s return, we will all be proud that we did not run the race in vain and that Your work was not useless. But we will rejoice even if we lose our lives, pouring it out like an offering to You, oh, God, just like a faithful hard work is an offering to You. And I want all my children to share that joy, so I place them in Your hands, and  rejoice in Your faithful and Good Will.  May You do Your Work in us and  through us, and may it all be for Your Glory!!!

Amen

I hope this blog series is a blessing to you and the children in your life.  If you would like to join our prayer group on Facebook here is the link.
