Why I Love CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship)
CEF (child evangelism fellowship)CEFBy Tyler Ann HIrn My first experience with CEF started when two teenagers came and taught a backyard Bible club(now called 5 day clubs) in my own backyard. At the time I did not know what CEF was, all I knew was that these fun people came and taught cool stories about Jesus and missionaries.
In my last post, I shared about the joy of giving birth to my first born child. I shared about the beauty of the biological bond. In the next few posts I plan to share about the beauty of the adoptive bond. It is true that there is a difference between these two bonds. Maybe
An adoption mom’s story (part 2)
Adoption . Family . Katie's RamblingsWhen I was 22 and pregnant with my first baby, I was excited and scared all at the same time. I was pretty sure I would be a good mom. I had a great mom, and I had been baby sitting and working with children for many years. So, I thought I would be pretty
An adoptive mom’s Story (part 1)
Adoption . Family . Katie's Ramblings . Popular PostsOver the last few years, I have been surprised at the requests I have had to write this book or that book. The Unexpected Adoption Story (The beginning)
Adoption . Family . Katie's RamblingsYehovah’s ways are not our ways. This is a verse, I have heard all my life, yet for some reason I am always surprised by the way He does things. For example, when Jeremy and I married and talked about having a big family, and about helping other families through foster care, we never planned to adopt
Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
