Day 4 Blessings and Favor (30 Day Prayer Challenge for the Children)
Biblical Living . Parenting . Prayer Challenge . Prayer Challenge for the ChildrenAs I said in the introduction, this challenge is an opportunity to spend the next thirty days being intentional about praying for a child or children.
I hope you had time to decide and write down the name or names of the child/children you will be praying for the next 30 days. If not take the time and do that now. Also, I would encourage you to use a prayer book/journal and write out your prayer each day. This just really allows you to really think and ponder on the words, and gives you something to look back at as God answers these prayers. Reuse the prayers and add new notes as you continue to pray for the children in your life.
No matter how you choose to use this prayer guide, the most important thing is to be intentional. Don’t just make it a habit or chore that you check off your to do list each day. Make time and take time to really pray for the child/children, and ask God to show you ways to bless them.
Each day I will post the topic and scripture, and write out my prayer for you to use as a guide, as you go to the Father in prayer. No matter whom God lays on your heart to pray for that is exactly who you should be praying for.
May Yehovah God bless us as we seek to bless Him and His children.
Amen
Day 4
Pray that God’s blessings and favor would surround their lives.
Numbers 6:24-26; Zephaniah 3:17; Psalms 90:17
I believe strongly in praying God’s favor and blessings over those we love. One of my favorite passages of scripture on favor is Proverbs 3:1-4,
“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.”
This is my prayer for my children today.
Father in Heaven,
I first come to you and ask that you give me all that I need to teach my children that you entrusted to me. Help me pour Your commands and teachings into them while they are young, and all the days of their lives. Give me strength as I age, so that I may live to share Your Truths and Love with many generations to come.
I, also ask that you help my children learn the lessons of life from Your Word, Your people, and You directly. May I teach them to discern Your Voice.
Give them a heart bent towards righteousness, make it soft and moldable, not hard like Pharaoh. Keep Your promises that as they walk in obedience and truth you will give them life, purpose, prosperity, and peace.
Wrap Your Love and Faithfulness around their necks like beautiful necklaces, and place Your Law on their hearts.
And pour out Your Favor and Blessings on them. May they find favor in You and in men.
Amen
I hope this blog series is a blessing to you and the children in your life. If you would like to join our prayer group on Facebook here is the link.

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
