Day 3 Love for God’s Word (30 Day Prayer Challenge for the Children)
Biblical Living . Parenting . Prayer Challenge . Prayer Challenge for the ChildrenAs I said in the introduction, this challenge is an opportunity to spend the next thirty days being intentional about praying for a child or children.
I hope you had time to decide and write down the name or names of the child/children you will be praying for the next 30 days. If not take the time and do that now. Also, I would encourage you to use a prayer book/journal and write out your prayer each day. This just really allows to really think and ponder on the words, and gives you something to look back at as God answers these prayers. Reuse the prayers and add new notes as you continue to pray for the children in your life.
No matter how you choose to use this prayer guide, the most important thing is to be intentional. Don’t just make it a habit or chore that you check off your to do list each day. Make time and take time to really pray for the child/children, and ask God to show you ways to bless them.
Each day I will post the topic and scripture, and write out my prayer for you to use as a guide, as you go to the Father in prayer. No matter whom God lays on your heart to pray for that is exactly who you should be praying for.
May Yehovah God bless us as we seek to bless Him and His children.
Amen
Day 3 – Pray that your children would have a love and desire for God’s Word
Psalms 119:11; 2 Timothy 2:15; Psalms 19:7-10
When I was pregnant for the first time, I began praying for my child to love God’s Word, and to never be satisfied, but to always hunger for more of it. Little did I know how that prayer would impact my life. My oldest daughter has a love and understanding of the Word of God that only comes from the Holy Spirit. Even as a little girl, she challenged us to be constantly in the Word and to rely on it as the source for all hope and answers.
I still pray this prayer over my children, and now my grandchildren. We begin a 90 day Bible reading challenge this week, and I can honestly say, my children are excited about it. This past school year, I was concerned that my children would grow weary of all our Bible lessons and teachings at home, so I changed up our schooling. To my surprise, my children asked for more Bible. I am grateful that Yehovah has placed that hunger in them.
Father in Heaven,
I come to you and ask that my children will always hunger and thirst for Your Word. I pray that you will give them a desire to seek You in the Scriptures, and to know Your voice. Give them the ability to read Your Word. For those who struggle with reading, give them ears to hear, and help them listen well. May Your Word be spoken over them, and may they receive it. Your Word brings life and healing, and it guides our path. May it keep them whole in body and mind, and may thy not stumble because it gives them sure footing.
Thank you for your Written Word. Thank you also for Your Living Word, Yeshua. May Your Holy Spirit fill my children and teach them through Your Living and Active Word.
Amen
I hope this blog series is a blessing to you and the children in your life. If you would like to join our prayer group on Facebook here is the link.

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
