Is this Pandemic real?

Katie's Ramblings

Is this real?  Is this a trick?  Are we being managed?  Do you know anyone personally that has the virus?

These are questions we are all asking each other.

But are these the right questions?

Maybe the right question is, what is God trying to teach me right now?

I am going to be really personal here and share from my heart.

A year ago, I had a dream that the world experienced a national crisis, and it caused everything in Lansing (that is the nearest city to me) to shut down.  I tucked that dream away in my mind, and I asked Yehovah to have mercy on His people.

As time passed, I would remember this dream, and again ask Yehovah to have mercy on His people.

I don’t trust our media outlets here in America, and I rarely watch mainstream television.  But I have friends around the world, and I like to check in with them.  I try and be informed about what is going on in the world, and I like to know where we are in God’s prophetic timeline.

So, in February, I became aware of the Wuhan epidemic.  Jeremy, my husband, and I began praying and discussing what these things would mean for our family.  As we prayed Yehovah lead us to many verses about going indoors and closing the door.

We were not afraid, but we clearly believed that God wanted us to stay home and to keep our children home.

Time has passed and we have been home day after day together as a family.  It really isn’t that much different than before.  The only hardship is not having close friends and family stop by, and not being able to worship together in person with others.

But what is really going on out there in the rest of the world?  Who can we trust?  Where can we get accurate information?  Is Trump trustworthy?  Is Q real?  Are people dying from this virus?  Is the whole world sick?  Is the economy crashing?  Is this virus really a man made weapon? Etc….

Are these the right questions?

Is there a God?  Does He love me?  Does He allow these kinds of things to happen?  Why?  What really matters?  Does my life matter?  Who am I?  Where did I come from?  What is the meaning of life?  How do I find out?

These are the right questions.  These are the questions we should be asking.

If we believe in God, the God of the Bible, and we believe He is good and faithful, then we need to place our trust in Him, and ask Him the tough questions.

What are you trying to teach me during this time?  What is it you require of me, if anything?  What is your plan for me and all of mankind?

The great news is the answer to the meaning of life, and the meaning of trials and tribulations is in the Bible.

So, open up your Bible and start reading.  Start searching, start believing.

The circumstances of this world do NOT have to cause you worry or stress, because there is hope.

Romans 5:1-11

5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

I received the exact same verse (Isaiah 26:20) March 18, 2020 and it took me a few days to understand that I was to be reading vs. 21 right along with it.
