Is COVID-19 a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy?
Katie's Ramblings . Popular PostsWith all the recent events in our world, several people have asked me if I believe COVID-19 is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy. They know I love the Bible and spend a lot of time reading and studying it. I am not sure that the answer I gave them was the one they wanted to hear.
I do spend a great deal of time reading, studying, researching, and meditating on the Scriptures, and I believe that is the wrong question.
What I do know about Bible prophecy is two things. The first thing I know about prophecy is that it is given to us for a warning, and second it is given to us for hope. This is true of all prophecy that comes from Yehovah God.
There is only one God, and He is the Creator and Redeemer of this World. He is the God of the Hebrew and Christian Bible. I have read this Bible from cover to cover many times now, and I can assure you that every single prophecy from Genesis to Revelation is a prophecy of hope and/or warning. This is true of prophecy today too.
If a person has a vision, dream, word from Yehovah God, the one and only true God, it will be a message of warning and/or hope.
I could speculate on what I think about this global pandemic, and the response of the global leaders, but it would be just that speculation. Through out history, people have tried to understand and predict what is going to happen next, and is this prophecy being fulfilled. But, often, it wasn’t til much later after an event that people could clearly see the fulfillment. Even the disciples of Yeshua could not fully understand who and what was happening when they walked day to day with the Messiah, and even when He died and rose again, they were unsure of what would be next. I am certain that Eve probably thought her son, Seth, was going to be the Messiah. John the writer of Revelation, certainly believed it would be fulfilled in short time. And many church leaders since the scriptures were written have believed many times that Messiah’s return would be in their life time. But it wasn’t.
Prophecy isn’t given to us for a magic formula to predict the future. It is given to us out of love from our Creator as a reminder of His promises and commitments to His people.
I will not say if COVID-19 is a fulfillment of prophecy, but I do know that the rebellious acts that we commit against God keep us from His peace and presence.
Over and over in the scriptures we are told that all God wants from those who love Him is to obey His commands. The commands that He gave us because He loves us and wants the best for us. Our Holy, perfect, all knowing God, gave us clear instructions for life and holiness, so we can live in communion with Him. Yet, even as He gave us these clear instructions for our benefit, He knew we would not listen, we would choose our own way, and we would choose to suffer because of our rebellion. Because He knew we would rebel, He warns us of what will happen to us if we live a life of sin. He then also tells us what will happen if we repent from our sins.
Repent means to turn away from, to change course, to go in a new direction. When we realize how much pain and suffering we are in because of our sin, we can stop and change course.
THIS IS THE MESSAGE OF BIBLE PROPHECY!!!! Repent for the Kingdom of Yehovah is at hand.
It is not to late. We can go to his Word now, and learn His Ways and walk in them.
Each and every single person can look at their life and recognize that they need to make a change. There are no perfect people in this world. We all need to examine the Word of Word, and compare it to our life. We need to search our heart and mind, and ask ourselves the hard questions.
Do I love the Lord Yehovah God with all I am my everything?
Do I put aside all idols and false gods, and only Worship Him, alone?
Do I use the name of Yehovah as I should?
Do I remember and keep the Seventh Day of the week set apart and rest on it?
Do I honor my parents?
Do I hate my brother, or kill others?
Do I lust after porn, or other people, or commit adultery?
Do I take what is not mine?
Do I lie in order to cause others injustice or harm?
Do I want that which is not mine?
You see God has a standard and He expects us to walk in it. I know it isn’t easy, and I know I fall often. But the question isn’t is this prophecy fulfilled? The question is what should I be doing to prepare for the Kingdom of Yehovah?
The answer is be like Noah.
Noah was righteous and obeyed God. God saw that Noah wasn’t evil and didn’t desire to rebel against Him. When God gave Noah a job, to prepare for what sounded like the end of the world, Noah got busy doing what He was told. Noah gathered his wife and sons, and they went to work doing exactly what God told them. God gifted Noah for the task at hand, and gave him instructions. I am sure Noah probably wanted to go around talking to everyone about what God told him, and warning everyone over and over, and we know He did give some warnings to the people. But what Noah did day in and day out was follow God’s instructions. He built that boat exactly as he was told, he loaded it exactly as he was told, and He prepared his family to enter it exactly as he was told.
We must be like Noah in these times. Instead of spending all our time wondering what does this mean, or what is coming next, we need to listen for our instructions and get busy doing the tasks we are called to do. We are so blessed to have the instruction manual for life available to us. Get out your Bible’s and read it every morning, and then do as it instructs. Then get on your knees and ask the Creator of the world to give you a task to use the gifts and talents He has given you to serve His Kingdom. Lastly, let the light shine in this dark world. Be a prophecy of hope to all you meet and greet. We are His People and He wants to use us now.
I won’t say if COVID-19 is a fulfillment of prophecy, but I will say, Yehovah created you for such a time as this. So let’s all repent and walk in TRUTH today.
Shalom
(Starting tomorrow, I will be posting a section of scripture each morning for you to ponder. I hope it will be a blessing and encouragement.)

Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
