Today’s prayer suggestion is for empathy and compassion, as usual I opened my Bible and found that praying the Word in context seemed very fitting for my marriage. So, I went that route.
Abba Father,
You alone have raised us with Christ, therefore help us seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand. Set our minds on things above, not on things of this earth. Help us die to ourselves, and hid our lives in Christ our Lord and Master. He will come again in all His Glory. Let us hold fast to that hope.
Help Jeremy and I to put aside all filthiness, likefornication, uncleanness, passion that leads to obsessions, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which we once walked, but now we seek to be children of obedience in all things.
Help us be people of self control, not controlled by anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, or filthy language. Teach us to walk in truth always, not lying, deceiving, or misleading one another, help us put off the old man with his deeds, and put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created us, and adopted us in Christ, who is all and in all.
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, fill us with Your tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; helping us to bear with one another, and forgiving one another, help us to speak to one another if we have a complaint against each other; Most of all make us like Christ, who forgave us, even though we did not deserve forgiveness. But above all these things make it our deepest desire to put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in our hearts, to which we were called in one body; and create a heart of gratitude within us Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to our Creator and Redeemer. And no matter what we do in word or deed, may we do everything in the name of the Lord Yeshua our Messiah, giving thanks to you, God the Father through Him.
Father, help me be a wife who submits to my husband, as is it is fitting to do so in your Name, Yehovah.
Help my husband, love me, his wife, and to not be bitter toward me. Help me to not cause him to have a bitter taste in his mouth as he thinks on our marriage.
Help us both to raise children, that want to obey us, their parents, in all things, because they see it as loving and pleasing to You, Oh, Yehovah..
Help Jeremy be a father, who does not provoke his children, but rather encourages them in all things that lead to life and Godliness.
Lord, as Jeremy and I serve one another, You, and our family, help us be humble servants that obey in all things that You, our Master gives us. Not caring about the eyes of men, not for recognition of men, nor as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing You, alone. And whatever we do, help us do it heartily, as for You, our Master, and not to men, knowing that from You, we will receive the reward of an eternal inheritance; as we serve Yeshua our Savior. Help us admit quickly when we have done wrong, and accept our consequences for our wrong doing. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive others.
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
We would love to send you an email each time we have a new post. Sometimes we post a lot, but we're a busy family, so sometimes there are a few weeks between posts. Sign up today and never miss another post!
