Today, the children and I are reading Matthew 6. I love reading the teachings of Yeshua and asking you to apply these truths to my life. One of my favorite passages is Matthew 6:33-34. So, today I ask that you would help Jeremy apply these truths to his life.
Yeshua says to His disciples, “Donotbeanxiousaboutyourlife, whatyouwilleatorwhatyouwilldrink, noraboutyourbody, whatyouwillputon. Isnotlifemorethanfood, andthebodymorethanclothing?Lookatthebirdsoftheair:theyneithersownorreapnorgatherintobarns, andyetyourheavenlyFatherfeedsthem.Areyounotofmorevaluethanthey?Andwhichofyoubybeinganxiouscanaddasinglehourtohisspanoflife?Andwhyareyouanxiousaboutclothing? Father, help Jeremy remember that you provide everything we need. He doesn’t need to overthink things. He doesn’t need to worry or fret, but he can trust in You. Give him faith that You care for him and his family.
Yeshua said, “Thereforedonotbeanxious, saying, ‘Whatshallweeat?’ or ‘Whatshallwedrink?’ or ‘Whatshallwewear?’FortheGentilesseekafterallthesethings, andyourheavenlyFatherknowsthatyouneedthemall.ButseekfirstthekingdomofGodandhisrighteousness, andallthesethingswillbeaddedtoyou.
Lord, help us to always seek Your Kingdom first. We don’t need to worry about tomorrow, but we do need to seek righteousness. Fill us with the desire to do RIGHT always. Help us not look to the left or to the right, but to only look to Yeshua, as our teacher and example of how to live each day.
Thank you for providing Your Son not only as our Servant Leader, Teacher, and Friend, but most of all as our Savior and Redeemer.
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
We would love to send you an email each time we have a new post. Sometimes we post a lot, but we're a busy family, so sometimes there are a few weeks between posts. Sign up today and never miss another post!
