Day 26 Philippians 4 (40 Prayers for my Husband)
40 days of Prayers for my Husband . Biblical MarriagePhilippians chapter four is one of my absolute favorite chapters to pray over others. Paul’s letters always read like prayers to me, so they are easy to turn into prayers.
Father God,
Thank you for your Scriptures that we can read, and apply to our lives. Thank you that we can tie our hearts to the Word and make it a prayer to you.
Today, I take the words written by Paul and make them my hearts prayer.
Lord, I pray specifically for my husband today, that he would stand firm in your Truths. That he would have the mind of Christ, and that your Gospel would always be on his lips.
May he be a man who rejoices in You, o, Lord always. I say it again: Rejoice! Let him be known for his gentleness to all. Always being aware that You are near. Let him not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, presenting his requests to You. And let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Messiah Yeshua.
Yehovah, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—help him think about such things only. And whatever he has learned or received or heard that is truth—give him a deep desire to put it into practice. And may Your peace be with him, always.
I rejoice greatly Lord that you have blessed us to bless others. Help us learn to be content whatever our circumstances. We have not known what it is to be in need, but we do know what it is to have plenty. Help us learn the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. We know that we can do all this through Yeshua who gives us strength.
Give us opportunity to be generous, and let our gifts be a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to You. And Father may you always meet all our needs according to the riches of Your glory in Messiah Yeshua.
To You God our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
