Today’s theme verse is John 14:27. I am one of these people that likes to put the verse back in context. So, I opened my Bible to read the passage that the verse came from. I read chapters 14 and fifteen of John in my Bible, and found I had highlighted several of the verses. As I read, I decided to make those highlighted verses my prayer this morning for my husband.
Yehovah, Creator and Redeemer of all, I come to you this morning in prayer for my husband. I ask that you let not his heart be troubled, but that you would help him to always believe in you, and in your Son, Yeshua. Help him to remember that in your house, Father, are many dwelling places. Thank you that Yeshua has gone before us to prepare the way for us. Let Jeremy never forget that you will send Yeshua back again to gather us to be with you.
Remind us, both, that Yeshua is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE, and only through Him do we come to you. Help Jeremy to hide the Word in his heart, and to abide in your love. Help him to believe and do the mighty works that you have for him to do in your Son’s Name. Help him to boldly ask things in His Name, so that Your Will be done, and Your Name will be glorified. Your Word says if we ask in Yeshua’s Name in accordance to Your Will IT WILL BE DONE. Give Jeremy boldness to ask.
Help Jeremy love and obey. Help him keep Your Commandments.
Thank you for sending your Spirit to be our Helper. Let Jeremy seek the Spirit of Truth and abide in You always. Set him apart from this world, as he seeks to grow closer to you. Remind him that he is your son. Your Word says that if we love and keep Your commandments that means we love you, and You love us and will reveal Yourself to us. I know that it is Jeremy’s desire to do just that, so help him walk in obedience. Yah, Send Your Holy Spirit to teach Jeremy everything, and remind him of all Your Truths, and give him peace. Peace beyond what this world knows and understands. Let Jeremy not be worried or troubled by the things of this world, let no fear overcome him.
Help Jeremy follow in Yeshua’s steps and love you, Father, and do EXACTLY as you command. And fill him with your joy, that he will rejoice always. Let Your Joy overflow in Jeremy.
And finally Yehovah, let your love, joy, and peace overflow in Jeremy that he will love others as you have loved him. Let Your Spirit flow out of Jeremy and be a living testimony of Your Son.
I ask these things in the Name of Yeshua, Amen
Below are some of the passages of scripture I used to write my prayer this morning.
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
We would love to send you an email each time we have a new post. Sometimes we post a lot, but we're a busy family, so sometimes there are a few weeks between posts. Sign up today and never miss another post!
