Day 10 Inspection Gate (Ten Days at ten Gates)

Katie's Ramblings . Prayer Challenge . Ten Days of Prayer Challenge

Read day ten in Ten Days at 10 Gates

Today, we prepare to pass through the Inspection Gate.  This is a interesting, but long article about the East Gate and Inspection Gate. Inspection Gate

As we finish our journey through the gates around Jerusalem we find ourselves outside the inspection/judgement gate.  So often I find myself wanting to make sure people know that God loves them and He wants a relationship with them, that I find I don’t want to offend them with the reality that one day we will all be inspected/judged.  The reality is that Yom Kippur is a reminder of Atonement, and for us believers the gift that Yeshua gave us in atoning for our sin.  But, it is also, a reminder that we will all be accountable for our actions, words, and attitude.  The truth is there is a judgement day coming.

A day when we will all stand before our perfect Savior, who died for us, and He will inspect us over from top to bottom, from beginning to end.  His standard is perfection, for He is the standard.  He made the ultimate sacrifice in life and in death to show us the Way.  But, will we be ready for His return.

As I prepare for a day of humbling myself, I pray that Yehovah will bless me and humble me.  I pray that He will teach me and guide me.  I pray that I will never forget the price that His Son paid to atone for my sin.  As I prepare for Yom Kippur, I do not worry that I am not good enough, but I do ask that Yehovah make me better.  I pray He continues His good work in me and brings me to the day of judgement completely dedicated to His Way and His Will no matter the cost.

I also pray that all those I love will humble themselves on this Holiest of Holy Days, and that it will be a day of honor and glory to Yehovah in their lives as well.

May Yehovah see our efforts today, and every day, and be blessed by them.

Amen

Revelation 20

And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.

4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

7And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. 10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. 15And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Things to know as you visit our site

We are Bible believing, scripture only people.  We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith.  We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God.  The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.

These writings were originally written by men inspired by God.  They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents.  Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains.  Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.

In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua.  Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
