Tyler Ann (Name Series 2)
Family . For My Children . Katie's Ramblings . Name SeriesTyler Ann
Daniel is our oldest, but he is not our first.
Jeremy and I got married in December 1993. Two years later, we were blessed with our first born. Tyler Ann was born in the Spring of 1996.

When I first found out I was pregnant, I was pretty excited and started thinking on names right away. Jeremy’s youngest brother is named Tyler. I really felt strongly that my first born was to be named after him. Tyler is a gentle, caring, and nurturing person. He is a peace maker and he is committed, loyal, no matter how tough the situation. I did not know if I was having a boy or a girl, but I decided that either way Tyler was the name.
As the pregnancy went on, I was pretty sure I was having a girl. Everyone seemed to think so too. So, I don’t actually remember if we picked a boy’s middle name. But as I prayed for my unborn child, one day the Lord told me she would have the faith like Anna who served in the Temple when Jesus was born, and Hannah the mother of Samuel. (Luke 2 and 1 Samuel 1 and 2)
As I continued to think and pray for this baby, I considered that both her grandma and aunt had the middle name Ann. Lisa Ann and Rebecca Ann. Both generous women. Both woman devoted to their family. Both strong and hard working women.
As soon as our little girl was born, we both knew her name was indeed, Tyler Ann.
