Blessings or Curses

Family . Torah/Bible

Recently, my dear friend, Anne, took YHVH God at HIs Word.  IN Deuteronomy 30:9-10, we read:

“The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”
As my friend explained to me that YHVH GOd had indeed healed her from a life long disease called Addison’s Disease, I pondered on this verse and the many miracles that Yeshua and His disciples did.  Healing the sick and diseased, making the lame walk, the deaf hear, and the blind to see.  Casting out demons and healing those with seizures and mental illness.  So, why wouldn’t I believe He would do these same miracles today.
I grew up in the church and on occasion I saw miracles happen, and I even experienced His healing at times.  But why did it seem those miracles were rare and that even when people were healed they got other ailments.
Have you wondered these things too?  Why no healing for us today in America?
I don’t claim to know the answer, but I am thinking about blessings and curses.  I am wondering about the deceiver and his tricks.  I am wondering if we as believers who live in such a safe and easy place in the world, have we become dependent on ourselves and therefore, deceived.
Well, this is what I know.  I know my friend Anne is healed of Addison’s disease.  I also know that when she told me about her healing, I made a decision to believe for health and well being in the name of Yeshua too.  I cried out like David in the Psalms and said YHVH God I choose to walk in your ways as best I can, I believe in your son Yeshua as Messiah, so heal me completely.  I was struggling with some serious health issues at that time.  But on that MOnday, I said no I will believe these scriptures you give us that say your children who hear and obey you are given wellness.  This was two weeks ago, I have not only had no more sickness or symptoms of illness, but this past Monday I had a crazy experience.  As I was driving down the road praising YHVH for His healing power, I was going through all the healings in the new testament and naming them.  I said thanking you for healing the sick and diseased, thank you for healing the lame, and the deaf, and as I said, “thanking you for restoring the sight of the blind,” I had a crazy idea.  I have wore glasses since I was 12 years old, but at that moment I decided what if He wants to heal my vision.  So, I took of my glasses.  Yes, I was driving at the time, and that is when I need glasses more than ever.  But I kept driving and reading the signs along the road and I realized I could see just fine.  It has been almost a week, and I have not wore my glasses.  I do not know any other reason for this healing other than it is a blessing to me from my heavenly father.  So, what do you think?  Are the blessings and curses of the Old Testament still true for the Children of God?
Do you believe?
IS the deceiver keeping you from seeing the blessings your Heavenly Father has for you?
I don’t claim to know how GOd works, or why bad things happen to GOdly people, but I do know that YHVH GOD wants to bless His children, and Satan wants to keep them from receiving those blessings.
That’s my story, what’s yours?
Shalom
