Tyler Ann Hirn (name series 2)

Family . Katie's Ramblings . Name Series

Daniel is our oldest, but he is not our first.

Jeremy and I got married in December 1993.  Two years later, we were blessed with our first born.  Tyler Ann Hirn was born on April 28, 1996.

When I first found out I was pregnant, I was pretty excited and started thinking on names right away.  Jeremy’s youngest brother is named Tyler.  I really felt strongly that my first born was to be named after him.  Tyler is a gentle, caring, and nurturing person.  He is a peace maker and he is committed, loyal, no matter how tough the situation.  I did not know if I was having a boy or a girl, but I decided that either way Tyler was the name.

As the pregnancy went on, I was pretty sure I was having a girl.  Everyone seemed to think so too.  So, I don’t actually remember if we picked a boy’s middle name.  But as I prayed for my unborn child, one day the Lord told me she would have the faith like Anna who served in the Temple when Jesus was born, and Hannah the mother of Samuel.  Luke 2 and 1 Samuel 1 and 2.

As I continued to think and pray for this baby, I considered that both her grandma and aunt had the middle name Ann.  Lisa Ann and Rebecca Ann.  Both generous women.  Both woman devoted to their family.  Both strong and hard working women.

As soon as our little girl was born, we both knew her name was indeed, Tyler Ann Hirn.

Tyler Ann Hirn

(a woman of faith, conviction, hope, determination, and loyalty)

Tyler for her uncle Tyler Adam Hirn

Ann for Anna and Hannah of the Bible

Ann for Grandma Lisa Ann Hirn

Ann for Aunt Rebecca Ann (Linton) Edwards

Things to know as you visit our site

We are Bible believing, scripture only people.  We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith.  We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God.  The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.

These writings were originally written by men inspired by God.  They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents.  Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains.  Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.

In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua.  Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
