Ok, there was a lot of things that happened in Numbers 11-23. Sadly I can not write about all of it because there is just to much!
Throughout those chapters Israel complained to Moses and YHWH was angry at them for not believing in Him and how they said it would have been better if they went back to Egypt to get free food. YHWH got anger the first time and burned the outskirts of the camp and Israel cried to Moses and he prayed to YHWH and the fire died out. The second time was when the 24 spies came back to Israel and 22 of them gave bad reports about the Promise land and the people feared them (the people living in the land). But two spies gave a good report (Joshua from the half tribe of Manasseh and Caleb from the tribe of Judah) and told them that YHWH has given them the land. They did not believe them and wanted to stone them to death. YHWH told Moses to tell the people that they could not enter the Promise land because they did not trust YHWH. They would wander in the wilderness for 40 days until that generation die off. Only Joshua, Caleb, Aaron, and Moses could enter the land.
Later Israel complained about not having water chapter 20: 8
“Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield its water. You shall thus bring forth water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their beasts drink.”
Moses took the rod and struck the rock and water came out of it for Israel. YHWH then told Moses this, chapter 20:12,
But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
I learned that I can’t treat God like a wish machine and pray to Him for my own desires’ and not His. I need to treat Him as holy. I need to obey everything He commands of me. I need to listen to God and believe that He knows what’s best for me.
Well I hope that all made sense!

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
