Torah Talk is a page dedicated to sharing the beliefs and practices of Torah Observant Christians. This page is designed with the Torah observant Christian in mind. Each post is written to help TO Christians answer those commonly misunderstood questions that their friends and family ask them.
Torah observant can mean different things to different people. Here at Torah Talk we will be defining Torah Observant Christian as follows:
A Christian is someone who believes in Jesus (Yeshua) of the Bible as Messiah, and chooses to follow His example of obedience to YHVH God. A Torah Observant Christian is a Christian that believes that following Yeshua is done by understanding that all scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. As it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Furthermore, a Torah Observant Christian believes that all 66 books of the Holy Bible are the Divine Word of God, and that the first five books of the Bible are the foundation of all scripture. The first five books of the Bible are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These five books are called the Torah, the instructions of YHVH, for His people. So, in conclusion a Torah Observant Christian is a follower of Yeshua, that believes the Torah is the foundation of God’s instruction for life.
IT is our hope here at Torah Talk to help Torah Observant Christians clearly explain their beliefs and practices using the Word of YHVH.
May these materials bless you.
Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
