Lydia Lucinda Hirn (name series 4)
Family . Katie's Ramblings . Name SeriesWhen Lydia joined our family her name was Lidia. She was a tiny, beautiful baby girl. It would be three years before we adopted her. Again Grandma Linton gave this little one a nick name. She called her Lidia Lu. As the day of adoption drew closer, we quickly knew that Lydia was a perfect fit for are little girl. She loved to wear purple and she was a girl that stood out. The woman in the Bible whom she was named after has very little written about her, but it says a lot about her character.
On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate along the river, where it was customary to find a place of prayer. After sitting down, we spoke to the women who had gathered there. 14Among those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. TheLord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.15And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us. Acts 16:13-15
Lydia’s middle name comes from my grandmother Carmen Lucinda. Lucinda means bearer of light.

Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.

Whilst I am delighted you like my poster I created and designed and that you are happy with the name meaning. I would appreciate a link https://www.zazzle.com/z/y9hrr?rf=238346800477376990 to where my original art can be purchased as I am a struggling artist and stumbled on my artwork on your site. Happy for you to use my artwork in this way but just appreciate acknowledgement thanks. Sarah Trett http://www.mylittleeden.com Nicely written piece by the way just be careful grabbing google images and infringing on the creators rights.
