Day 8 Horse Gate (Ten Days at Ten Gates)
Prayer Challenge . Ten Days of Prayer ChallengeRead Day 8 in Ten Days at 10 Gates
Today, we are at the horse gate. Here is an interesting article about the horse gate. Horse Gate
Here is an interesting article about Dr. Seuss.
As with each day I just love everything about the daily devotional by Grant Lutton. He tells us that this gate is all about being prepared for war. I love that he says, “Though we all love to see repentance, deliverance and restoration
take place in lives, these are usually achieved only after a time of spiritual conflict.”
I never really thought about the fact that God has “armor on.” I loved pondering that image.
If God wears armor, then I definitely want to put mind on.
Here is the entire checklist of our
spiritual armor:
Belt of Truth
Breastplate of Righteousness
Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Shield of Faith
Helmet of Salvation
Sword of the Spirit, which is the
Word of God
I pondered each one, and I think my piece that I struggle to always put on is the breastplate of righteousness. So, I am going to make that a point of prayer today.
I do not want to be proud, unkind, selfish, judgmental, or rude. So, as I consider if I am prepared to do the hard work of fighting against that which is keeping me from victory and peace in Messiah, I want to be teachable, humble, and honorable.
Yehovah,
I want to do all the work You have for me. The work on my own soul, but also the work to be a valuable member of Your Kingdom. I want to put on all your Armor daily, and be prepared to fight the good fight. I admit, I am at a lose today, of what to pray. But, I ask the Holy Spirit to speak for me. I am feeling a bit anxious and overwhelmed today, but I will place my anxiety in Your hands, and lean into Your Spirit.
Thank you Yeshua for interceding on my behalf.
Amen

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
