Day 30 Humility Philippians 2 (40 Prayers for my Husband)
Katie's RamblingsYesterday, I reminded myself and anyone else that is reading these prayers that as we pray the Word it is not a magic spell or chant that we are doing. The words that we take out of Scripture to use in our prayers are not even always in context as we apply them to our personal lives. Because we are not studying the Word, but rather using the words written by men of God for us to be blessed by. The words in Scripture are all useful and beneficial, and therefore, we can seek Scripture as a guide in prayer, and allow the Holy Spirit to help us pray for all that we need and desire for ourselves, our relationships, our loved ones, and our lives.
So, today, we are in Philippians chapter 2. Philippians is another great letter written by Paul to the believers in Philippi. The words he writes to these believers are words of encouragement, but also his hearts prayer for them. So, we can take those words and use them to make our hearts prayer for our spouse. This happens to be one of my favorite go to prayers for those I love.
Abba Father,
I thank you and praise you for making Jeremy and I one, united with Christ, and we are comforted by His love, sharing in the Spirit, because of His tenderness and compassion, I rejoice that Your Joy may be complete by making us like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Lord, let neither of us, do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above ourselves, not looking to our own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
In your relationships with one another, we want to have the same mindset as Yeshua Messiah:
” Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!”
Father, you exalted Him to the highest place
and gave Him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Yeshua is the Messiah our Lord,
Your glory, God the Father.
So Father, we ask that you would help us to continue to seek to always obey, and have integrity even when no ones sees, —Strengthen us to continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, for it is You, God, who works in us to will and to act in order to fulfill Your good purpose.
As we serve one another, and care for our children, let us do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that we may become blameless and pure, Your children without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Let us shine among the worldly like stars in the sky as we hold firmly to the Word of life. Father, many have been poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service to bring us to faith, we am glad and rejoice in their sacrifice because it led to You. May we be just as bold and brave to serve as they did.
Let us always rejoice in You, O, Yehovah! Let us watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those who are misguided in their understanding of Your Law. Help us to always remember the great sacrifice of our Messiah. Let us consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Messiah Yeshua as our Master , being willing to lose everything in His Name. May we be willing to throw away everything to gain Messiah, and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of our own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Messiah —the righteousness that comes from You on the basis of faith. I want to know Messiah—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings, becoming like Him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
1 Father, It is with a desire to be more humble myself that I pray for my husband, knowing full well that I have not already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Messiah Yeshua took hold of for me. I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Messiah Yeshua.
Father if I lack maturity and do not see You and Your Will clearly, I ask , that You will make clear to me the errors of my ways, and help me to make no excuse for bad behavior, and to only let me live up to what I have already been taught and know.
Father help us keep your eyes on those who live set apart unto You. Let us not fall into the lie that Yeshua did not suffer and die on the cross for us. Those who teach this lie are destine to destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Yeshua Messiah, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.
Father, we rejoice in this Truth, and we Stand Firm in it. For Your Son, Yeshua, alone, set the example of humility and love, and now, we ask that we would be like Him in all things.
Amen

Things to know as you visit our site
We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
