Day 27 Righteous Desires (40 Prayers for my Husband)
40 days of Prayers for my Husband . Biblical MarriageI don’t know about anyone else, but as I pray for my husband and marriage during this challenge I have definitely felt under attack. I can so easily get into the routine of pray, and not truly dig deep. The enemy likes it when we just mindlessly, routinely do things, without really thinking on and reflecting on what we are doing. But, also, I have found when I pray for growth, and change God gives me tests and trials, because he loves me and wants me to truly mature in faith and love. One of my closest friends and I often joke that we know that we are truly God’s favorites, because those He loves He disciplines, and it often seems we are in training again and again. So, if during this prayer challenge, you have been challenged, consider it all joy, because that means Yehovah is hearing and answering your prayers.
Today’s topic is one I truly want for my husband. I want all his desires, goals, dreams, and daily activities to be centered on living righteously. So, this is truly a cry of my heart.
Father God,
Thank you that you create in us a new heart when we turn our lives over to you and make Your son, Yeshua, the master of it. Your Word says in Ezekiel 36:25-27 that you will give us a new heart and new spirit. You will remove the heart of stone and place Your Spirit in us, so that we can walk in all Your Ways, and carefully obey your commands. I pray that you continue your good work in me, so that I can do just that.
In Psalms 51 David prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit.” I too pray this prayer for myself and my husband.
Lord, I ask that it be our great joy and delight to seek to walk upright and to flee all evil. Purify us, and transform us.
Give Jeremy everything he needs to flee from evil desires, such as lust, pride, and impurity. Help him look clearly at his life and remove those things that distract and keep him from You and Your Word. Help him to identify distractions and sin that have him glued down, and give him the desire and tools to remove that which is holding fast to him that keeps him from being the man you created him to be. Help me be the wife he needs and not another distraction, but rather a support and voice of encouragement.
As Jeremy is in this world, keep him from temptation to live as the world lives. Keep him from the distractions that we all have daily in our phones, and on our screens everywhere. Give us all self-control and disciple in life. Help us place our relationships above things. Remove all sinful desires and replace them with desires that bring life and peace. May his greatest desire be to reflect Christ to all those who see him, especially his children. Give him the joy that comes when we seek first your Kingdom and Righteousness, and remind him that all our needs are met by You when we walk in obedience.
Amen

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
