Torah Life, Biblical Living, One Day at a Time
Torah Talk . Torah/BibleHow does a Torah Observant believer live day to day?
This is so important. This is an excellent question. As believers in Yeshua, we should be following His example of obedience to Torah every day of the week, not just on Sabbath. Every month of the year, not just feast months. Every year of life, not just the year of jubilee. Every day, hour, and minute should be devoted to Yehovah and His will for our lives.
I think starting our day focused on Yehovah is a good place to begin. At our house we have a saying, ” Talk to the Lord before your feet hit the floor.” When I wake up in the morning the first thing I want to do is thank Yehovah for another day to love Him, serve Him, and get to know Him more. I teach my children they shouldn’t even get out of bed until they talk to God.
I think the next thing is to quickly give yourself a dose of scripture encouragement for the day. I try and read my Bible every morning, usually as a family, bust sometimes by myself. Morning reading favorites for me are Psalms and Proverbs. They are usually short chapters and have a lot of punch to them.
The most important thing about living out life daily for Messiah is learning to obey His commandments in each situation. It is allowing His Spirit to shape us into the creation He intended us to be. It is in those moments that test us and push us that we grow the most.
It is when the washer breaks and you have five dirty loads of laundry. It is when your car breaks down and you are already 20 minutes behind schedule. It is when your kid keeps crying over every little thing. It is when your neighbor calls the police on you because they don’t like your dog house. It is when you get fired. It is when your family thinks you’re a part of a cult, because they don’t understand your just excited about your new Bible discoveries. It is all the big and little stresses in life, and all the temptations of the flesh that allow you opportunities to walk out Torah.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Being Torah Observant is more than Sabbath keeping and Feast days. Torah Observant is more than not eating pork or shellfish. Torah Observance is more than tassels and head coverings.
Torah Observance is ALL about following Yeshua, the living Word.
Torah Observance is all about loving God’s Word and applying it the best we can each and every day.

We are Bible believing, scripture only people. We love to learn about the Hebrew roots of our faith. We believe it is important to not add or subtract from the Divine Word of God. The compiled scriptures that agree with one another and have no contradiction is the 66 books of what is commonly referred to as the Christian Bible, or the Holy Bible.
These writings were originally written by men inspired by God. They were written in the language of the writers and readers of the original documents. Many of the original documents have been lost, but God’s Word is eternal and remains. Therefore, it is important to us to study, learn, and consider the culture, history, and language of the original writers of the scriptures.
In our studies we have learned that the true name of God is Yehovah, and His son, our Messiah, is named Yeshua. Therefore, as you read our posts we will use the Hebrew names of God and our Messiah.
